Regulators were asleep at the wheel when social media and centralized platforms were rising. Hopefully, over the next few years, we will see better regulations and policy support for more decentralized technologies that distribute power instead of concentrating it. The Beckn Protocol is one such initiative and it powers the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) which is being supported by policy makers in India.
